Kaela Santos-Heiman went to The Oxbow School, a semester intensive art program for high schoolers, and graduated from The Idyllwild Arts Academy in 2008. She attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle Washington for Fine Arts, and has graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design in 2016 with a BFA in Illustration.
Kaela is an aspiring children's book author and illustrator, and often draws inspiration from her dog Elle and her cats Stevie and Polly. She accepts commissions including portraits, pet portraits, and tattoo designs. You can find her designs printed on eco-friendly t-shirts for sale at www.supergreentees.com
In her spare time, Kaela enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with vegetarian dishes, crocheting, and geeking out over zombie film and literature. She comes from a family of artists and has been creating things her whole life. In summation, Kaela is an animal loving artist and illustrator that has a knack for obscurity.
